Prince Sergei von Zarovich
Sergei von Zarovich was the younger brother of Strahd von Zarovich, widely agreed to be more personable than his brother.
Unlike Strahd, Sergei was not raised to fight in their father's armies — rather, he had been training to become a priest of the Morninglord when he instead fell in love with Tatyana Ostrovsky, a young noblewoman from the village of Barovia. This budding love affair was somewhat hampered by the fact that Strahd, too, had been courting Tatyana, but Barovia's ruler stepped aside, giving his blessing to Sergei and Tatyana to wed.
Any and all Sergei deaths, Tatyana disappearances, and ensuing curses beginning on their wedding day are purely coincidental, probably.
