Region of Earth

Most Isles and Atolls exist in the Region of Earth where they float through the air, revolving around the Crystal Spire. The Isles float due to having chucks of Skystone embedded in them. Skystone is quartz stone that was changed by Allanna while she attempted to save the world from the Sundering.
Due to the Isles location, most survivors of the Sundering live in the Region of Earth. If there are survivors in other Regions, it is currently unknown. The Scryers of the Thellos Mageocracy only have the ability to see about a weeks journey by ship from their Isles with any clarity. Further exploration requires a ship, but most Sky Galleon captains are loath to veer off of the known shipping routes. The Baramore Exploration Group has plans to do exactly that.
