Ivory Talons, Chapter 6: Secret of Dr. Killian

For those that missed last time, our heroes - the Knights Vigilant - were caught in the middle of a tremendous battle atop a construction site not only against the CLOCK KING but also seven androids from the Science Court! A collection of cryptic carnival thieves! Two hawk-person troopers! All of which had nothing good in mind for our heroes!

Yikes, True Believers! That's one riveting line up!

The fight lasted minutes but felt like hours. Once the dust settled, the Clock King and his elite lieutenants were defeated. The bulk of the carnival-themed thieves were put on the run. Those hawk-human troopers? They were sent into retreat.

However, this victory came at a cost. Battered, stung from the mental and physical blasts of their opponents, the Knights Vigilant summoned the energy to search the Clock King's makeshift hideout for evidence before the police arrived. It was a treasure trove of information!

The team left the Clock King and his associates for the authorities, retreating to the top of the Manhattan Mini Storage on East 62nd near the East River. There, with the evidence they gathered, they pooled their resources to decipher what this startling new data means!

The Clock King was working against the company, GRAIL INDUSTRIES, yet... the man was hired by a DR. ZYLER KILLIAN. Who is this Dr. Killian? Was the Clock King's crime spree at the request of Dr. Killian or just a destructive side effect? How does the Crystal Vine powder from the Golden Lotus connect to this?

And last, are the research notes detailing a new pharmaceutical product from Grail Industries the key to unlocking...

The acrobatic carnival gymnasts that seem to have similar powers as the Metropolis hero, the Shadow, to cloud minds ... just WHO are they?

Those add to these other questions that are stacking up even higher!

The Clock King's perfect timing and excellent physical prowess seem a match for the Knights Vigilant, how will they defeat him?

An alliance with Mr Freeze! Given the doctor's past, can he be trusted? Is he really after stolen medical equipment? Or is there more to his story?

Just what WAS this "Crystal Vine Powder" that the Golden Lotus has ... and the Hammer Empire wanted? It seemed to act in a manner like the mutagenic drug, Silent Dreams. Is it simply that repacked under a new name? Or is it something more?

Finally ...

Just who is this Dr. Zyler Killian that hired the Clock King in the first place? What is his stake in all this?
