Alabaster Mansion
Description
The Alabaster Mansion is the largest and most prominent of the many demesnes of Levinbolt.Inhabitants
Previously owned by Julian Alabaster, it was passed on to Maggie and Eleanor Stormspinner after his death. In the necromancer's sanctum, located in the lower levels of the estate, many of his undead companions still perform their duties, albeit with an abject sadness now that their master and friend has gone from the world. Most notable among them are the crawling claws who tend to Julian's library, the flesh golems who guard his bedroom, and the phantom orchestra who still play a mournful symphony.Flora & Fauna
Although various types of undead tended to Julian's quarters, others were imprisoned below. Deep under the mansion, in a hidden lead-lined hallway, powerful undead creatures, such as mummies and bone nagas, were trapped within and raging against their cells. In reality, Julian was attempting to reform these creatures to work with him willingly, rather than compelling them to do his bidding with magic.History
Constructed by the "Alabaster Twins," the mansion was not only the linchpin of Levinbolt's infrastructure, but it was also vital to keeping the darakhul armies from returning to reclaim the city. When the Julian passed away, the Stormspinners were named as the inheritors of their mansion with only one condition: never to sell it. When they heard unusual sounds underneath the estate, which they hoped to turn into a bed and breakfast, they sent letters to adventurers all over the Borderlands. When Kapital first visited Levinbolt, Maggie had the mansion's entrance trapped excessively, but she let the group inside when they showed her the letter. After the mystery of the Alabaster Mansion was solved, both women were horrified by the truth of Julian's suffering, but they were more convicted than ever before to honor their friend's wishes and never sell the estate.
