History
When the
Alabaster Twins passed away, Maggie and her wife were named as the inheritors of their mansion with only one condition: never to sell it. When they heard unusual sounds underneath the estate, which they hoped to turn into a bed and breakfast, they sent letters to adventurers all over the
Borderlands.
When
Kapital first visited
Levinbolt, she had the mansion's entrance trapped excessively, but she let the group inside when they showed her the letter. She and Eleanor told them of their friendship with the twins, especially Hattie.
After the mystery of the Alabaster Mansion was solved, both women were horrified by the truth of Julian's suffering, but they were more convicted than ever before to honor their friend's wishes and never sell the estate. Even when a stranger, suspected to be the general of the
darakhul armies, offered a stupid amount of coin for the estate, she didn't budge.
Tobias feared the stranger, who was likely wearing a
cloak of anonymity, was the vampire who attacked
Lady Charlene the previous night. If the mansion was turned into a bed and breakfast, it would be a public space, and vampires would not need to be invited in to enter. The Stormspinners were hesitant, but agreed to maintain the estate and
never invite anyone inside, not even their close friends.
To help them afford to guard the Alabaster Mansion, Tobias offered to gradually buy those of Julian's possessions that were of no use to them; conveniently, all of these were exceedingly useful to him. The Stormspinners were very grateful and asked him to keep in touch.
