Devaas Khan

Born in 2726, three years after his older half-sister Ishani Khan Ashtaar, Devaas is the son of Ishaal Khan's first wife, Kelis Khan Grishovna. As Kelis's first son, he technically was the heir to the throne, but many nobles saw far more potential in Ishani, who was three years older. Like his father and sister, Devaas has the expected black fur, tall stature, and physical ability that the Khan line is famous for. However, his interests as a young man have not included ruling Chandris, but instead living the luxurious life of a nobleman. Like his father, he has fixated his interest as of late on courting the Courtesan of the Gods, Syenine Yasha.
He is known to his people for what he is: a young man who spends his days hunting and holding tournaments instead of ruling, which everyone knows his mother Kelis does for him. This little poorly kept secret is beginning to dawn on him now, and he is beginning to push back against his mother's control. Out of a sense of revenge for his father, he sent investigators out to locate Indira Ashtaar and bring her to "justice" as a traitor to Chandris, but his plans were foiled by Abiyr Arsolum, Alden Blackwell, Katarine de Masque, Bill Stoneheaver, and Gneiss—with a little help from Kelis herself.
