Foljeim Province
Nestled against the South-Eastern banks of the Glacial Sea, with the mighty crystalline forms of the Glass-Spear Peaks rising high above it to the north like a monument of the gods, the Foljeim Province is named for the glacial lake tucked away within that mighty range of glacial mountains. To call them mountains would seem a misnomer, as they would seem to be of pure ice. In reality it is assumed they are the slowly fading remains of a large glacier. To the south, bordering both Raechin and Depenwood. This land is one of mixing of cultures as one may expect, sharing borders with two other nation states, allies at that. As one might expect, this means you will find a blended culture, and this bleeds through in traditions, fashion and even foods. Less prominent is the rough animal hides, wool, and thick leather garments of the regions of the nation further north, with more vibrant and varied choices, in design, color and fabrics. That is not to suggest it is warm enough to dress in silks or the like, far from it. But you will see less crude animal hide and wool garments, and more worked fabrics, layered designs, and a wider range of available and vibrant dyes and colors. The same can be said of food and spices, with this province being nicknamed 'The Icy Southlands' by many well travelled merchants. Fruits, vegetables, and a wider variety of spices are a pick part of this comparison dietarily speaking.
Structure
The Foljeim Province is entrusted to Lady Protectorate Kassandra Romain, and as such, it should be no surprise that the seat of her power is the largest and principal settlement within this region, Moss Bay. She is known as the Duchess of Commerce, a title well earned, and also as the Gatekeeper Suranth, again a well earned title, as most trade must come through Moss Bay. Be it river trade, road trade, or rail trade, all passes through Moss Bay or close enough for her sphere of influence to matter. The only trade or commerce that does not have to pass through her sphere of influence is oceanic. Here economics and commerce reign supreme, and one will find religion and tradition hold a much lesser sway. Industrialization and innovation, these are also favored and the groups and notable individuals with power and influence in the region generally hold such values and are of such groups. But even then, most of these groups and people have influence within regional spheres, not nearly as much as a select few, such as Lady Protectorate Kassandra Romain, whom have province wide influence. Of these her own banners, that is the noble families and clans in sworn alliegiance to her, are the most notable. Herself and those three are whom are listed here.
Lady Protectorate Kassandra Romain: Lady Kassandra is one of of two humans, both women, whom hold titles of Protectorate, and are of the two human families, or clans whom could, hypothetically, be the next High Monarch chosen upon High King Cormac's Death. The Romain family and Storm-Born family are recognized as 'honorary dwarf-kin' under ancient law within the country. This title comes from the two human families, or 'clans' fighting shoulder to shoulder with the dwarves to take back their lands. Lady Kassandra continues this proud tradition in a new and bold way. Trade. She holds the keys to the kingdom in many ways, and wields that influence creatively, carefully, well aware of the limits of exerting any pressure or influence that the NPA places upon her, along with the other many and varied diplomatic relationships and situations her nation is in. She plays the game better than even her father before her, at but twenty-seven years of age. Only one younger than her has ever taken such a post, the current Lady Protectorate of the Stormlands Province. She is a skilled diplomat, a shrewd negotiator, and wise beyond her years. She is also known to be well trained, though her experience in true combat is limited. She is trained with cutlass, pistol, and supposedly is quite skilled with both. She is well liked, capable and respected in the region.
Fiolag Samuel Evani: This man in his mid thirties is known as a tough, hardy leader, and is well liked in the region he holds sway. Sworn bannerman to Romain, he is a local hero, having fought boldly nearly a decade ago against a horde of yeti that tried to tear through the region, coming from the eastern ranges of the Glass-Spear Peaks. For his bravery he was awarded the title of Fiolag, granted the lands within the region as his Baruntacht.
Fiolag Durmi Grigormac Varde: This middle aged dwarven clan leader is known as a pure bureaucratic sort, a businessman, and that is a reputation well earned. They are no craftsmen, nor are they miners, but they do have fingers of coin in most pies in the region and many across Suranth. Their great wealth does come from vast ancient family wealth, to hear them tell it. No one truly knows how much of the ancient treasures in the Varde family vaults, which were still standing even after the Sundering, had left in it. Some speculate there may have been other methods of coin acquisition used by the dwarven clan to start and maintain this burgeoning mercantile empire.
Fiolag Brizzak Lomivmac Tolvar: This dwarven clan are known as skilled weapon-smiths and fine warriors, and Fiolag Brizzak is well known as a skilled and competent warrior himself. He is a military and security mind, and holds his concerns as such. He is the mind Lady Protectorate Kassandra leans on when she needs advice, guidance or policy in such veins. He is well respected, holds the loyalty of his clan and his people. He is also known as a scientifically minded dwarf, and one to embrace new tech and weaponry whole heartedly, having developed a favoring for new weapons developed adjacent to the steam engine, those known as 'Chymech' weaponry. In particular Brizzak is known to have a preference for the dwarf invented and christened 'Bedgathirr' also known as the 'Volcano-Spitter'. Brizzak embraces science and so do the people under his direct sphere of control.
There would be others, of course. The regional Arch-Bishop would likely hold some sway, as might a mercantile lord. However now as a GM the rest is your playground. I've given you an idea of how Suranth is to look and feel in the first two Tundra Realms, right down to a city level. So feel free to continue that process, to build it out further in those smaller scales as you need, if you wish. I wish to leave room for heavy customization for those whom wish to run stories or games through these environments.

Culture
The people here are an industrious and diplomatic bunch, shrewd and smart, well spoken and sharp. The province is a melting pot for cultural contact, mixing much of the world to the south within this region. It is a thoroughfare of trade and culturally behaves as such. A very modernized region as one might expect, especially for Suranth.
Assets
Within the region, the largest asset is really the strategic position of the region itself. As basically the region is the gateway into Suranth, this means you hold a militarily and economically important position, with all the power and influence that would suggest. That is not to say there are no resources here, but there are far less than in most of the rest of the country, at least far less being harvested and utilized properly. Instead the region's position and strategic value is used as its major asset.
This also means as on might expect, a healthy military presence is kept here, both federal and provided by the local nobility. The navy keeps a healthy river presence, roads are well patrolled, the rails are well patrolled as well. settlements are well fortified and guarded. This includes the more static of equipment and fortifications, as well, naturally, as the manpower element that is

212 Engineers/Artisans
283 Wave-Runners (An assumed number based on percentage of Suranth's population the region has, that report to a handler in the region. No real concrete basis for this number.)

Demography and Population
Foljeim Province is home to roughly 112000 of Suranth's populous and breaks down very roughly as follows below;
Race | Rough % of Population | Count |
Dwarf | 21% | 26880 |
Elf | 3% | 3360 |
Halfling | 13% | 14560 |
Human | 44% | 49280 |
Gnome | 9% | 10080 |
Vrock | 3% | 3360 |
Tiefling | 4% | 4480 |
Territories
The Foljeim province encompasses all lands of and south of the Glass-Spear Peaks that are firmly under Suranthi dominion. East to west, it runs from eastern bank of the Tiber's westernmost curvature all the way to the east coast along the Nor'Westor Sea. Like any and all provinces, this includes plenty of territory that is unsettled, wild frontier and dangerous lands. All in all the Foljeim Province encompasses some 144000 square kilometers and a fair amount of coastal waters besides this.
Technological Level
Early Industrial Revolution -Mid Industrial Revolution within Urban areas
Renaissance - Early Industrial Revolution in more Rural areas
Religion
Sir Kartheart is the favored patron god here, though any worship of any of the Ascended is legal of course. This province also sees the most......lax....of the faithful in Suranth, given the cultural melting pot that the region is, and their industrial, inventive, scientific and progressive leanings. This does not mean it is safe to engage in any worship of the Ruinous Powers of course. Swift execution awaits such fools.
Foreign Relations
One can refer to Suranth's overall diplomatic positions, but remember that this region is a diplomatic epicenter and commerce center. This place is like a cultural melting pot of the NPA with but a Suranthi lean to it. It is a border region of three allied nations and one must expect plenty of cultural mixing.
Agriculture & Industry
The environment of the region does not lend itself massively to agriculture, though some important agriculture does occur around Moss Bay that gives the city its name. Indeed the region is not a heavy industrial complex, though of an industrial bent.
Trade & Transport
What this province does offer is control and therefore the power and influence afforded by that control, of critical and crucial trade routes, and this is the basis and fundamental building blocks of their economy. The fares and taxes they can collect, the various fines they can charge, the pressures they can apply, all these things and more are a big part of how the region successfully functions.
Education
The people here are well educated, a sign of status, and of the higher quality of living that the region offers to many if not most of its inhabitants.
Infrastructure
This province is a melting pot of style, fashion, and culture and this is true as well of the infrastructure itself. One will find a much wider architectural variety here, mixing and blending in new and interesting ways of the carefully balanced and functional (due to resource limits and cost concerns) timber minimalist and stone heavy architecture of Suranth, the more flowing and artsy flowing imagery and style of Depenwood's elven construction, the philosophical 'living walls' artwork applied in uniquely adapted ways outside its normal medium of the great and mighty forest canopies of Depenwood's forests. Added to this is the more mish-mashed, brick and mortar, mixed materials building and design of Raechin, the more experimental construction mixtures used to great effect and vastly differently than the peoples of Raechin use them often.

They are the point of sale for many of the resources and goods made all throughout the nation. Moss Bay is that point of contact for much of the trade all about the inland regions of the NPA, especially Depenwood and Raechin.
