Misfortune
One of Two Known Incarnate lines split off from Fate.
True to their name they tend to be prone to poor luck.
Misfortune and Inevitablity are Fated lovers though their romance tends to end in the death of Inevitability and the misery of Misfortune.
However, sometimes Misfortune manages to defy this due to being particularly skilled in some way, or having access to certain resources.
One of Misfortune's lives was as a Necromancer, Azrail, who assisted Fate in begining the Sleeping in order to be given the funds he needed to craft a spell to ressurect his lover, Omann. His Spellbook, known by many Wizards seeking to study Necromantic Magic, the Libram of Souls and Flesh has been reproduced many times, but several spells were seemingly destroyed in some form of accident, and the original has been lost for many years.
Another life of Misfortune, Dalanthan Moless, was instrumental in stopping The Angels of Rebirth. Born in the Sleepless Forest, his partner was the Paladin named Orion Laurel, unfortunately, like most of the incarnations of Inevitability that Misfortune has loved, Orion died very young. Dalanthan had the ability to use Blood Hunter magic, this seemingly begining after an accident with a bear trap he used his icey blood to freeze his way out of the trap. His propencity for bad luck originally kept him from studying to become Fate's Cleric as he was unable to read. But he later awakened Cleric Magic on the quest to defeat The Angels.
He died in the woods outside Kolas after being attacked by a group of Will O Wisps. He died too soon to be reached by his friends, his crush Pais, and the Re-Awakened Orion who tried to find him. Maintaining Misfortune’s Namesake.
