Great Temuj
The Greater Xemujate, Land of the Platinum Horde, the Great Xemujan Nation, Nation of the Great Xemujan, Great Temuj State, Temuj Dynasty, Great Xemujan, Land of the Thirteen Kingdoms is an empire ruled by the feared and loved Ganlong Xemujan. The nation has been known for its contributions to mathematics, technological progress, and great amount of scientific studies. However, the land that would make up Great Temuj was always at turmoil with itself and the Thirteen Kingdoms that dwell within it.
Each nation had its own distinct culture and aspects of religious worship that came within their own lands. Some believed in a monotheistic method of worshiping the Source, the mythological first being that dwells somewhere in-between the Dreamlands and the Aethereal Plane. Others believe in a state of enlightenment and reincarnation that ends with ascension into a higher state of being. Some others believe in the power of both local celestial powers and god-kin, and some few people worship the power of Iman. These forms of worship and culture have long separated the lands of the Thirteen Kingdoms for millennia, even after the conquering of the lands that came with the Latonan Empire.
Even when the nations have been divided, there was possibilities of upper mobility and opportunity for great progress throughout the Thirteen Kingdoms. A peasant could work hard and become a rich noble. Literacy and trade were numerous amongst a land with a population ranging in the hundreds of millions. The Thirteen Kingdoms were a land of great progress for a time. That all changed when the Fuhrer's soldiers from Reichsland came marching into the lands that made up the Thirteen Kingdoms and demanded subservience in 1090 E.D.
The people of the Thirteen Kingdoms would be able to keep their traditions, cultures and religions but would be subjected to taxation and rulers appointed by the National Patriotism Party. Within a decade, the people would be subjected to oppressive rule, conscription, and patriotic propaganda against the forces that plague this world, that would break their spirit. The people's tears of despair cried out onto their gods that were no longer there and had died centuries ago. The celestials that did hear them eased their pain slowly but could not cure the ample melancholy that was there. One kingdom, Khiimori, and its celestials knew of a being that could free their people from the grasps of tyranny, but this being had been the bane of the heavenly kind for untold eons and lied in torpor. Seeing no choice but to awaken such a being, the Xemujan (Great Emperor), of Khiimori called forth any person with healing capabilities along with any celestial being of sufficient curative prowess. Many told of the massive amount of blood and aether that would be necessary to revive such an ancient and powerful being, a prospect that would garner the attention of the National Patriotism Party. The Xemujan would circumvent this factor by contracting hundreds of indentured servants of the labor camps that had been established by the Party under the guise of a dangerous but rewarding mining operation.
With the N.P.P. complying with the Xemujan's request, all of the beings within the Xemujan's contracted scope capable of healing, and being a sacrifice, gathered near a massive mountain near their capital of Tsaangel as they ventured deep into a cave to encounter the Great White-Gold Dragon, Ganlong. They would encircle around the massive head and length of the coiled dragon, kill captives, and began chanting as well as healing the serpent. Over the course three days and nights, the Great White-Gold Dragon had awakened from his more than 300,000 years of slumber, in 1100 E.D., and was greatly surprised and disgusted at who had awakened him. The Xemujan told of the destruction and tyranny that had come over the lands of the Thirteen Kingdoms. However, Ganlong refused to at once take back the people's land as he knew it would only wreak havoc and destruction due to him not knowing who his new enemies were. He then shifted into a humanoid form fitting for a God-Breaker and told the Xemujan "when one-hundred years of night and day have passed, and all have forgotten the putrid pyrrhic sacrifice that you have done for me, I will return and take your crown. You have become weak and complacent to these western tyrants and so it falls onto me to correct your cowardice. You have disappointed your people, who you have sacrificed in the hundreds, just to awaken a creature which you can not control. I will not only destroy you and your subservient lords, but I will dash upon the ashes I will have spread from the bloated cadaver of monuments to their reign. I am the Blood-Singer and Fear of the Gods! I will return and I will annihilate you."
Over four hundred people had died in those three days, along with the Xemujan's heirs and advisors as Ganlong had transformed back into his draconic form and flew out of the mountain as its caves began to collapse. The erupting landslide as the mountain began to collapse would cause the death of four million in Tsaangel as the N.P.P. grasped at straws to maintain control over Khiimori. And yet, the Xemujan lived as he was forced to live with the fear of his own life would be taken at any moment when 100 years had past. Misfortune would continue to follow the Xemujan as the Party had grown wary and suspicious of what had all of a sudden caused a massive natural disaster. They would hound over the Xemujan for years to come as he had not shown any sign of aging, had become sterile, and he could not die by any physical or magical means. Although he would lose his mind over all that he had lost and done, he would not be disposed by the party for he was the only recognized leader of Khiimori.
One hundred years had passed and Khiimori would be transformed into a province that was capable of producing some of the most powerful cavalry units the world had ever known. Conscription numbers and complacency had been higher than normal and the people cried out for freedom from their state. Freedom would come roaring in a terrific lightning storm as Ganlong returned in 1190 E.D. The Xemujan, fully insane over his years of torment, praised the Great Dragon of the East as he had been annihilated in the radiance that was erupting from Ganlong's breath. The storm that proceeded would set fire to a great many buildings of the Party's approved officials and the people would take up arms in revolution and serendipity.
When the battle was over in the morning after, Tsaangel praised their new Xemujan, Ganlong. Ganlong freed the calvary units under the sway of the regime of Reichsland and those that opposed his Platinum Horde, his volunteer army, would be destroyed. And so, fire and storm had been ignited throughout all of the Thirteen Kingdoms. In ten years, Ganlong Xemujan had unified the Thirteen Kingdoms under the sway of his Platinum Horde and declared Great Temuj independent from Reichsland.
Though the Fuhrer had been greatly angered, according to many, he also knew the risks of challenging Ganlong, and so it was that Great Temuj had been declared its own nation. Over the twenty-five years of his reign as Great Emperor, Ganlong has abolished the dynastical rule of each kingdom that had reigned for eons. He would replace them with leaders that the people would trust and choose amongst themselves. The military of the Platinum Horde would be a unified fighting force that would eventually aid even Reichsland against the ongoing demonic hordes to the south.
Rumors, however, are poison and speak of the turmoil amongst the people that wish vengeance against their former oppressors, with the chief amongst them being Ganlong Xemujan. Reports come from Reichsland of the barbaric hordes of the Great Dragon of the East's forces attacking military encampments bordering Great Temuj. However, none of these reports have substantial evidence of bandits or terrorists being the main cause and so war has not been declared in the years of Great Temuj's independence. An independence that may be plotting to overrun Reichsland should the portal to Sheol close in Abbadon one day. An opportunity that the opportunistic emperor of the east would surely not abandon.
This opportunity would come at the collapse of Reichsland as an empire in 1263, and Great Temuj would occupy half of the territories that made up Reichsland for 40 years. This occupation would come to an end, however, in 1303 as Great Temuj agreed to let go of its territory in Reichsland on the beseechment of Kenzou-Omikami to Ganlong Xemujan. Great Temuj then continued its war front against Sheol for many years to come.
Structure
Xemujan (Great Xemuj or Great Emperor): Leader of all other Xemujes.
Xemuj (Emperor or King): Leader of one of the Thirteen Kingdoms.
Subutai: General of the Platinum Horde
Culture
The majority of people of Great Temuj believe in harmony of both nature and spirit. This harmony can come at a cost, however, as the world is constantly in a state of flux. Each of the Thirteen Kingdoms has come into conflict with one another due to societal and cultural differences. For example the Khiimori are a nomadic and nature-worshipping people that celebrate the Source and all the blessings that she brings upon the earth. However, the Anh people are highly civilized as well as technologically advanced, and the Anh people wish for both unity and harmony with the spirit world and the advancement of civilization.
The varying conflicts that have occurred in the area have contributed to a strong warrior culture amongst some cultures of Great Temuj and a strong affinity for magic in another. This type of cultural distinction has made the varying unity between all of the Thirteen Kingdoms collapse several times and is the main reason for how the Reich was able to annex the region.
The rise of Ganlong Xemujan has ensured a long-standing warrior culture that contributes considerably to the defense of the world against the forces of Hell. The amount of calvary and infantry that the great nation of Temuj has contributed has considerably outnumbered Reichslands own military in terms of the world's defense.
Public Agenda
The unity of all of the Thirteen Kingdoms has been the great goal of the Platinum Horde as well as the integration of many cultures and traditions sprouting throughout the country. One underlying goal also remains for the people of Great Temuj, the unity of all people of eastern Kenor.
Assets
Most of the world's external supply of steal and gold come from Temuj. Yet, the greatest export that the nation supplies is its abundance of troops.
