Lyonel Whyne
Ser Lyonel Whyne is the eldest son and heir of Lucion Whyne. He is married to Bella Moore, and they have two sons, Clarence and Bryan Whyne and three daughters, Mary Whyne. Because of his wife's habit of adopting dogs, Alyn Moore named Lyonel her kennelmaster.
Appearance and Character
Lyonel is tall and strongly built with broad shoulders, messy graying brown hair, and a bushy beard. He has a small scar on his right brow. His face is long and dour, wih a unimpressed scowl that naturally rests on his face. Lyonel wears plain clothes of brown, grey, and black, occasionaly wearing a red shirt under a black vest for fine clothes. He doesn't care for appearances. Despite the temperature, Lyonel is never cold. Lyonel is usually sour and stern. Not much excites him or makes him smile, besides his wife Bella. He does not care for courtesy, but he is not blatantly rude. He has a strong moral code, and is a fervent follower of the laws of the Gods. He does not have the best opinion of his younger brothers, Frederick, Emerick, and Richard, believing them to be tarnishing their souls and their house's name from their fornication. He particularly despises his brother Emerick because of his treatment of his wife, Lorna. He frequently fights with his father, leading him to live almost completely in Bronzegate. He enjoys working with his hands and is a skilled carpenter, and has built many of the buildings within Brozegate. Lyonel does not drink. Lyonel is now a pacifist, no longer carrying a sword or wearing armour. He has sworn off his knightly title, and dedicated himself to a life of peace. He fought in the Three Days War and is filled with shame and plagued by nightmares of the men he killed in the war. He was close to his brother, Denys, who also served, but was killed by his fellow soldiers.Relationships
