Twistenwud
This marsh like forest is populated with twisting willow trees, that seem somehow sinister in their craggy branching form here. But their roots are like mangroves, arching out of the swamp and soil. It is largely unexplored in recent times because of the presence of the so called Forth Horde. They are not truly a united force, but rather simply the monstrous people who call the Twistenwud home.
Fauna & Flora
Most notably dangerous in the region are the 'civilized' monstrous people who live in the marshes. The average Fortchman is near ten feet tall, not terribly eloquent, but very ready to taste manflesh. They regularly intercept merchants and caravans, making off with a few horses or halflings.
The trees themselves are known to be a danger. The complicated root system of the interlocking twisted willows can sometimes pose a hazard all on its own. But the swamp is known to sometimes reach out from beneath and swallow people up. Even a Fortchman must be wary.
