War of Hope and Despair

The War of Hope and Despair is the name given to the war that broke out in 8002 when Obscurus used the Stonewall Empire to try and crush Terra Caelum and raise the Nine Hells to burn the Prime Material Plane to a crisp. It involved aberrations attacking all of the regions of Terra Caelum, and caused the Collision.
Toward the end, once the west of Terra Caelum was under the law of the Alliance, the war moved further from the Prime Material Plane, and was eventually final rebellion was squashed by agents of Mount Celestia.
