Overview

The Holdmasters are the Dwarven Clan that took upon itself to 'grasp and hold in a stone grip, what has been made.'

This translated into Dwarven as Onnon, which means Hold.

This is the control of what has been expanded upon. As the term 'Hold' is also used for the Fortresses used to protect the Kingdom. The Holdmasters are known for their training in defensive and the double meaning is preserved from the Dwarven as an excuse to build such buildings where ever possible. From this Clan ONNON - the Holdmaster Clan was formed.
The Holdmaster Clan is one of the Four (Eth Te'jara) - the second generation of Dwarves. As one of the Te'jara Clan, the clan enjoys the prestige of being in the Upper Upper Class of Dwarven Society. This is one of the most trusted of Dwarven Clans - it safeguards the Kingdom.

From the Steele of Athena, the clan received its role - the task of holding and protecting both the physical and the informational knowledge of the Dwarven Kingdom.

Clan Assets

The Clan Onnon is the Holdmaster clan, they Holdfast - never retreating but rather acting as a solid bulwark against any attempts to have it move. In this regard they are very similar to Clan Gevorgun. That being said, it is recognised as one of the most stubborn of Dwarven Clans. The Clan members all have free access into any Dwarven city or fortress, they are not required to pay any entrance toll or ext tax in such structures.

Their assets extend to access to the best of Dwarven armaments - in particular armor and shields. The Holdmasters value strong defense - knowing that they can outlast any opponent, and wear them down.


The Holdmasters generate warriors, guardians and defenders from the Warrior class.

Bonus Equipment

The Onnon as masters of defense will issue even the lowest warrior of their ranks with excellent quality armor. Any Onnon member can purchase Dwarven made armor (from any Armorer - not just a Dwarven one) at a 50% discount. This is due to their reputation as Escort Guards for shipments of metal and Dwarven manufactured goods, everyone in the metal trade seek to keep the Onnon happy.

Kin Boltfast

Bonus in crossbows - given starting crossbow and 24 bolts free.

Kin Stonebrace

Bonus in armor valued up to 100gp in value given for free. (Any money from this left over from this must be used to purchase armor enhancements or helms and shields - the remainder returns to the clan.)

Kin Firewall

Kin Firewall are all red-heads, and are specialists in the use of fire - they are sometimes known as arsonists by those less inclined to like Dwarves. These Dwarves often man the watch towers and signal fires of the old ways. Their family way continues to value Fire skills. The Firewall Kin receive the following two bonus NWP and a bonus language:
