One of the
The Sentinels of Terrania ; the greatest heroes of our time. Elendarie and her compatriots were heavily responsible in defeating
Pyrhem Wrathbringer and
Ancalmo ending the Calamity.
BACKSTORY
Elendarie was orphaned at a very young age, and was eventually taken in by the Eridenne Temple of Selune. As she grew older, so did her commitment to Selune, and as a result decided to stay at the temple and devotee her life to carrying out Selune's will. She developed a very intense and passionate relationship with a fellow devotee of Selune, named Mia Tyressia. Their bond was strong, and two were hardly ever seen apart from one another.
In the buildup to
The Great Siege of Eridenne most of the temple devotees evacuated the city. Mia and a small detachment volunteered to stay behind and protect the temple. Elendarie, not wanting to leave Mia's side, volunteered as well. During the initial battle of the siege, a massive sortie of the Bloodhorde pierced the gates and spilled into the city. They assaulted the temple, where the devotees of Selune fought a spirited defense. During the melee, Mia was struckdown, dying in Elendarie arms. Elendaire turned her sadness into rage, vowing to destroy the horde to honor Mia, and Selune. She grabbed the sacred Moonlight Blade relics from the temple vault and joined the defense.
General Jermil Keshlonga had heard reports of Elendarie's exploits at the Selune Temple and therefore had her join the specialized unit he was creating, leading her to the group that would later become the Sentinels.
After the end of
Pyrhem's Calamity, Elendaire returned to Eridenne to help the rebuilding of the city and the Temple of Selune. She spent her remaining years in complete devotion to Selune. And like many paragons of Selune, her followers one day discovered an empty bed and an open window filled by the light of a full moon: never to see Elendaire again. The most romantic minded love to believe it was the spirit of Mia that took Elendarie by the hand and they walked through the night sky together towards their lady.
