Ancalmo

Ancalmo was a paragon of Malar and his legion of zealots played a key role during the Pyrhem's Calamity . Ancalmo was Pyrhem Wrathbringer 2nd in command and mostly responsible of spread of Malar corruption.

BACKSTORY

Ancalmo's origins are shrouded in mystery. Nobody knows anything about his existence until he showed up next to Pyrhem's side after his return to Myorpolis from the The Agrios Agnosto . It became apparent Ancalmo was an acolyte of the condemned god Malar. Throughout the Calamity, Ancalmo and his followers built large structures that helped corrupt the land and brainwash folks into serving Malar. Once Pyrhem's Bloodhorde was finished ravaging a settlement, the survivors would be pulled in front of Ancalmo. He would perform brutal rituals to deem individuals worthy or unworthy. Those deemed worthy would be sent forward to willingly accept Malar or be forced to. The unworthy were ritualistic slaughtered.
At the climax of the The Great Siege of Eridenne , Ancalmo was wounded by Valorie Boldwinter. He fled the siege and returned to Myorpolis to lick his wounds. As the Humanities Beckon closed in on Myorpolis during the waning days of the Calamity, Ancalmo retreated to his fortress temple hidden deep within the Owlwatch Mountains north of the city. Agents of Prince Jean of Toussaint discovered he was attempting a ritual to open a portal of chaos to flood Terrania with Malar's corruption. After the defeat of Pyrhem, The Sentinels of Terrania raced forth, assaulting his temple, and killing Ancalmo before he could finish the ritual.
