The Ashen Barrow
General Summary
After meeting with Dame Varr at Fort Rodric, the Heroes agree to head out to the Ashen Hills nearby and see what is disrupting trade by attacking caravans. Hoping to get paid more for this job as two Barons have asked them to do it, or at least one Baron and one other Baron's representative, the Heroes stock their supplies and head out.
A day outside of the fort, near a cart road through the hills, the group found a large hill with an obelisk and, while there was no chanting like they had been asked to investigate, the hill did have a strange stream running out of a crack in it's side. Using magic to clear away the accumulated rock and gravel, the group found an archway leading into a dark stairwell of finely-carved stone from before the Third Darkness. Thinking this might be the source of either the chanting or the attacks, the Heroes began their Descent Into Darkness.
