Dragon Mother

Mother of Dragonkin

Dragon Mother, distinct from the Cosmic Deity of the same name, was a Titan assigned to the guardianship of the stars, leading her to traverse the cosmos surrounding Tethys. In the era preceding the Titan War, she brought into existence her children - the Dragons.   These Dragons were diverse in kind, extending beyond the commonly known Metallic and Chromatic types, although these two types frequently figure prominently in legends. The Metallic Dragons were conceived as protectors, entrusted with defending territories in the Dragon Mother's absence. In contrast, the Chromatic Dragons, forged with an inherent aggression, accompanied her on her celestial voyages to battle any hostile entities they encountered.   As the Titan War ignited, the Dragons initially took up arms against the Gods. However, the Wise One, one of the First Gods, persuaded them to abstain from the conflict and continue their appointed task of safeguarding the world. With threats still lurking among the stars, the Dragons' vigilant watch was needed more than ever. The Dragon Mother agreed and resumed her duties.   In the aftermath of the war, the whereabouts of the Dragon Mother have remained elusive. Historians theorize that she continues her watch over the outer reaches of space, guarding against any potential interlopers. Meanwhile, her children, the Dragons, find themselves confined to Tethys, having lost the ability to soar through the cosmos. Their fate stands as a poignant testament to the far-reaching consequences of the Titan War.
