Gollubash

Gollubash in the Crown's Shadow region was once three duchies in the Divine Empire during the Third Age, Kingdoms. They were ruled by magic users, keen on discovering new spells and the arcane. When Archadian Empire outshined everybody with their knowledge and skills, the Divine Empire employed these duchies on secret magical experiments in the goal to have something against the Archadian Empire, would a war arise. These experiments were horrifying, even to some Archadian scholars at that time but the knowledge of what was going came too late as the Fourth Age, The Calamity dawned. The duchies were isolated and continued their experiments in secret, creating many intelligent monsters in the process. When the Iconian Empire came, these creatures were released to the wild and their creators were killed. For many, these lands were thought to be lost, until an expedition was made by the reborn Divine Empire in the Fifth Age, Current Age, couple years after the end of Post-Calamity Era. They found cities, towns, and villages, populated by monsters. They have built their own nation, ruled over by Doppelgangers, Eyespawns and many more. They are willing to trade and negotiate long term relationships but very few have taken up the offer. As they do not expand, as some tend to believe they will someday, there are those that think the monsters will not attack them and are neutral to their nature as monsters.
