Hinleng

The Tong Island was once part of the Tailos colony of the ancient Jadeite Empire during the Third Age, Kingdoms. After the Fourth Age, The Calamity, it was deserted but thanks to the work the nation of Tailos did, the island once again became a good port for ships to stop in their long trade routes. This all came to an abrupt end when The Second Divergence happened, many things at once went wrong. First, the nation of Tailos was gone. Second, the Timescar appeared. Third, the great trade routes were nulled due to the appearance of the Forgotten Lands. It was bad for the island as it also lost contact with the empire but over the years, they were able to adapt. The small independent nation of Hinleng was founded on the island. Many people come here from the west, wanting mainly two things - not wanting to be directly connected to the Alliance of Northern Kingdoms, they bought stuff from Hinleng which in turn buys its good from the alliance. The second is that many expeditions from the west want to visit the Timescar and the island is very close, allowing many people to get prepared here or rent a guide. There are rumours that the new Heavenly Emperor will want the island back for himself but he has yet to make such a move.
