Zamora

The nation of Zamora is located in the Tigris Mountains and is led by Fiends called Rakshasa. They are an entrepreneur nation, using slaves to their dirty work and the mountains are filled with resources to trade. Non-rakshasa, non-slaves are treated as guests, never as members of their nation and it is best not to anger the hosts.

History

The Tigris Mountains were filled with angelic fortresses where many mortals resided, mainly the Aasimar. When the war ended, most of the guardians fled from the Material Plane leaving their once beloved wards as lambs to slaughter. The fortresses were taken over by the Rakshasas, who decided not to follow the Devils to the Hellish Spire. They overwhelmed the defenders, many times using their shapeshifting powers to get inside more easily. For the next millennia, the Rakshasas would fight Ossyria and the Jadeite Empire (when they had a colony on Azura) over the right to the mountains. It wouldn't be until the Fourth Age, The Calamity when the nation of Zamora allied themselves with the Iconian Empire and gathered many slaves for their masters. When the empire fell, Zamora was destroyed by the allied forces, hoped to never recover. However, it has returned in the Fifth Age, Current Age, using the Post-Calamity era as an ideal moment to do so. They would take over their previous fortresses, enslave the former guardians and release new Rakshasas from their slumber to bolster their rank. In recent times, the Rakshasa sell their services and resources (gained through slavery) to their neighbors and traders. Many who want to visit the Timescar from the south, can easily get there through Zamora, where they can even find a guide (hoping they wouldn't get stabbed later that night).
