Belphegor Rael'iel

Belphegor Rael'iel (a.k.a. Fig, Figgy, "Baubles" (by father))

Divine Domains

Dance and beauty, defensive fighting styles, god of the challenged and protector of those lost.  Heavy influence over the domain of death and the afterlife, as all devilfolk and devil-gods (and all Rael'iels).

Physical Description

Facial Features

Large, reddish-brown eyes and a wide, flat nose. Round and large, plush lips. Long, pointed ears.

Identifying Characteristics

Belphegor has two sets of horns atop his head; the larger set curls back along the top of his head, tapering to a point, while the second pair, smaller and below the first, curve backward slightly with the first pair before subtly curling up. Both sets are golden in base, with black freckles toward the bottom and a darker, heavier orange at the tips. He also possesses two long, spindly tails, both similar in palette, except the tip of one is nicked slightly. As the son of two cherubim, Belphegor possesses six great wings, feathers in the style of a raven. They are pitch black save for the occasional golden accent, dusting the edges of feathers or perhaps tinting the whole feather.

Physical quirks

Belphegor's lips, when resting, do not close entirely against one another, leaving a small gap between.

Apparel & Accessories

Belphegor has a bridge piercing and four ear piercings on his right side, and five on the left, all of which are often adorned with golden jewelry. His horns are also decorated with gold jewelry, as is customary of devilfolk. As a dancer, Belphegor is wont to wear light, flowing clothes. They are often brightly colored, detailed with precious metals (often gold, in Belphegor's case), and expose much of Belphegor's midriff and arms.

Personality Characteristics

Virtues & Personality perks

Belphegor has always been particularly calm, relatively slow to anger (with some exceptions). He puts off an air of coldness, but in reality is a very warm and loving individual, acting comfortingly and even fatherly toward many of the folk that run to his side.

Vices & Personality flaws

Despite being slow to anger, Belphegor's temper is not one to be messed with. He has a recent past full of violence and aggression, sparked by specific events; once his temper has been lit, it is nearly impossible to smother.

Social

Contacts & Relations

Married to Elryd of Tribe Lup'hennethyr, great fey god of war and love.  Close friend to Balay al Heme, mother to Mirale'el Rael'iel.

Family Ties

First-born son of Malak Be Rael'iel, first-born daughter of Alazai Rael'iel and Belsai Zalek, and Zaara'il Chiel, first-born son of Ainlei Chiel and Halla Kira. Eldest brother to Seralif, Soraat, Kafkefoni, Rakshaa, Iyar, Jerrekh, Nikaleel, and Amaalyk. Father to the late Mirale'el Rael'iel.

Hobbies & Pets

Morgaenath (Morgaen) the hellhound: raised from a puppy by Belphegor. He and Morgaen are very close.

Speech

He speaks with a calm, gentle voice most commonly, and even when angered, his voice is even and often quite soft. He has a heavy Sheoli accent when speaking in most languages.
