Thornspire Castle

Thornsprie Castle is the seat of power of Ravenmar, a formidable structure that looms over the city and the spires of which can be seen from far away. The walls of the castle are made of a dark, somber-colored stone, with a polished and smooth texture. The stones are large and heavy, each one carefully placed to form a solid and smooth wall with nearly no cracks or crevices separating the stones. The towers and spires of the castle are tall and sharp with ornamental spikes and thorns. This is also where the castle derives its name from. The towers form a stark contrast with the sky during the daytime, but seemingly blend into the darkness of the night after the sun has gone down.

Blood and Stone

According to legend, Thornspire Castle was built by vampires using some form of ritualistic Hemomancy. The vampires are said to have used the blood of their victims to enchant the stone of the castle through Alchemical Transference with dark and ancient powers, making it almost indestructible. The legend of Thornspire Castle is shrouded in mystery and fear, and many people believe that the castle is cursed and home to powerful and malevolent spirits. Some say that the ghosts of those who were sacrificed to build the castle still haunt its halls, their screams and cries echoing through the corridors.

Lavish Interior

The interior of Thornspire Castle is just as impressive as the exterior, with grand halls and chambers filled with rich tapestries and ornate furnishings. The walls are adorned with intricate carvings and paintings, depicting scenes of battles and other historical events of times long past. The castle also has a grand banquet hall, an extensive library filled with ancient books and manuscripts, and a throne room where the Duke of Ravenmar holds court.

Deep Dungeons

Thornspire Castle is not without its dark side. According to legend, the vampires who built Thornspire Castle used the dungeons to extract the blood of their victims, using it to fuel their dark and forbidden rituals. These dungeons are said to be filled with devices and instruments of torture, designed to extract as much blood as possible from the prisoners. Some of these devices were designed to slowly drain the blood from the victim's body, while others were used to extract it in a more violent and brutal manner which is thought to enhance it with more volatile arcane energies. The deepest parts of these dungeons have been closed off for centuries, their contents kept behind lock and key to prevent any abuse of these malevolent spaces and tools.
