Ravenmar
Ravenmar is an ancient city located within the Kingdom of Wolfsbrunn. It has a long and storied history, with tales of vampires and vampiric activity dating back centuries. It is unknown how long Ravenmar has existed. There are conflicting stories surrounding the founding date, but it is known that the settlement existed far before the first humans landed in Altenport and perhaps even before the founding of the elven lands of Entari.

Cast in Shadow
The city itself is nestled on the slopes of the rough Thelian Mountains. The slopes and cliffs south and east of the city are tall and sheer and dotted with pine forests. This means that during the morning the city is still cast in shadow, as the mountains, cliffs and tall city walls block out much of the morning sunlight, hitting the roofs of the Dawn Ward first, a while after the day has even started. The tall spires of Thornspire Castle that pierce the sky, as well as the Rookery Tower are struck by sunlight next, and soon after which the rest of the city's roofs are bathed in daylight.Maze of Streets
The streets of Ravenmar are winding and narrow, and most of the Aepine Noire style buildings are tall and ornate. Navigating the city can be a daunting task, even for those who are familiar with it. The streets are confusing and disorienting, and it is easy to get lost in the maze of buildings. Many newcomers rely on maps and a few landmarks to find their way around, while the locals who are familiar with the city make their way through it using their sense of direction and intuition. The cobblestone roads are lined with buildings with doorways and windows that have pointed arches and ornate decorations. Vendors and merchants set up their stalls even in the most narrow spaces, offering a variety of goods for sale. As you walk through these winding streets, you may smell the spicy aromas of Kordaasiz cuisine or the fragrances of seafood that is traditional in the Naldorese culture as well as any type of Brunn dishes. An indication of the many cultures living in this city.Dark Alleys
The tiny alleys of the city of Ravenmar are cast in deep shadows by the tall looming buildings and the many balconies that jut out from the second floors, adding to the sense of confinement, blocking out much of the light and making the alleys feel even more cramped and claustrophobic. The narrow streets twist and turn, sometimes barely wide enough for a single person to pass through. The alleys of Ravenmar are alive with danger. Vendors and merchants set up their stalls in the narrow spaces, offering a variety of illicit goods for sale. Children dart in and out of the alleys, some playing games, some trying to sneak a few coins off an unsuspecting individual. At night, the alleys become even more perilous. The darkness that fills the narrow streets becomes more pervasive and provides the perfect cover for thieves and other nefarious characters to operate in. Many people avoid the alleys entirely after sunset, preferring to stick to the main roads where they feel safer. The streets and alleys are overseen by the cityguard of Ravenmar during the day to ensure the safety of citizens and visitors, but it is said that the streets are patrolled at night by a secret society of vampire hunters, sworn to protect the city from the creatures of the night and those who would endanger the safety of Ravenmar.
