Profile

Desmo is one of the premier magitech engineers in the ARA, and is always innovating new magical tools and equipment for the field agents. He is fascinated by any and all magical items, creatures, and plants, and loves learning new things about the magical world. You could easily get Desmo to talk for hours about just about anything, and probably learn a lot of neat facts in the process.

Desmo joined the ARA several years ago and quickly worked his way through the ranks of the engineering department due to his curiosity, technical knowledge, and passion. He hopes to one day be the Chief Magitech Engineer of the ARA, not for the title, but simply for the unrestricted access to the most interesting artifacts and materials. If you ask anyone at the ARA, they'll tell you it's only a matter of time before that dream becomes a reality; Desmo is one of the biggest reasons the field teams have seen the successes they have, and they'd be lost without his drive to innovate.

Physical Description

Desmo is always in his "spring" form; his skin a pale green and his hair slightly darker, and he is about average height and build for an eladrin, which is slightly taller and more slender than the average human. His clothes always seem to be stained with some kind of magical liquid, and his hair and clothing both always look a little disheveled. Desmo has a pair of artificer's goggles with several different lenses for different magnifications or filters. He also usually has some other gadgets or equipment strapped to his belt, which appear to be artificers tools of some kind, but might also be experimental gizmos. Desmo is almost always smiling and his movements are energetic, as he tends to emote with his entire body.

Relationships

The Party

Desmo loves to talk to anyone in the party who is willing to listen to him rant about the magical items they always bring him and the unique properties they possess. They're always coming to him with new design challenges and magic item requests, which keeps him busy doing something he loves. He's allowed Engie, Heliadora, and Blinky to assist him in his workshop on multiple occasions, and is more than happy to share his process with those willing to learn. He has been known to bearsit Sylvester on occasion, and enjoys it very much.

Venandi Silve

It's hard to know the officer's true feelings sometimes since he keeps everything pretty close to the vest, but Desmo has been on the receiving end of a disproportionate amount of compliments from Venandi. Desmo is one of the only people at the ARA that can convince Venandi to submit an internal mission request form without having to make a full-scale presentation on why it's a necessary venture.

Vena Colubra

Desmo and Vena don't get to talking much, mostly because the library prohibits passionate rants due to their policy of keeping the space quiet for research purposes. Vena does keep a special shelf just for Desmo's requests, however, and will occasionally spend time with him in the cafe listening to his new ideas.
