Upriel
Structure
Upriel had a military government, and was ruled with absolute authority by a king, who ruled for life. When a king died, the next king was chosen from among the nation's most accomplished generals by his peers. These transitions of power could be radically violent, and the nation would often lose territory during those times, which it would then re-conquer during the reign of the next king.
Every official in Upriel was a member of the military, and the military's hierarchy was also the nation's.

History
Upriel was founded when a great warrior-king named Konrad Heidemann began conquering the land around him. Allegedly the first to tame a wyvern, his troops had a major advantage over their enemies. When he died, the nation he had built fractured, but he had impacted the people's identity so much that they sought to reform it. And so Upriel's violent cycle of collapse and reconstruction was established.
Disbandment
In the year 1 B.C., Upriel was conquered by the Cyrdian Empire, with the king being personally executed by the Cyrdian Army's High Commander, Amuli Funatus.
