People and Animal Welfare
The welfare of the animals is overseen by those shepherds who specialise in veterinary medicine.
The day-to-day medical needs of the islanders are overseen by dyers who have specialised in natural medicine from local flora, and basic first aid.
The islanders are a pretty hardy lot, and most people have experience at tending to the most common of injuries and illnesses.
A doctor visits regularly from the mainland to tend to more complex medical needs, and emergency cases or operations are handled on the mainland wherever possible.
The general wellbeing of all the islanders is overseen by the Council.
