Oldwood
Oldwood is a small settlement in the eastern section of The Capital Isle. It was mainly a human settlement, which traces it roots back to the very first Settler Races. However, The Convergence caused many to be displaced from their homes, causing refugees to be sent here. These new 'outsiders' were viewed with great disdain and tensions between the two groups are at an all time high.
Demographics
The majority of the populous are Humans who trace their lineage back to the initial settlers of the Capital Isle. Recently there have been more Dwarves and Elves who moved to the town as refugees. These new settlers are finding it hard to integrate into their new life due to the xenophobic attitudes of the natives.
Government
The village previously had no government and everyone looked out for themselves. However, keen businesswoman Layla Varleth managed to boost trade in the village to such an extent, many consider her to be its leader. Those in the town who have a dim view of 'outsiders' couldn't disagree more.
Industry & Trade
Thanks to Layla's advise, trade in the village has increased dramatically and many businesses are doing incredibly well. The main exports include grain, lumber, livestock and other farm goods.
History
The village was secretly under the control of an ancient Hag by the name of Agnes. She disguised herself as an old woman and used her magic to manipulate the townsfolk into unknowingly doing her foul biding. She was later put down by the party who discovered her vile secret.
