Bo

Bodyguard Five (usually called 'Bo' by Rin) is a hobgoblin slave who fell in love with and married Rin Eighteenth, a Chrysanthemum-caste noblewoman living in the Celestial City and niece of Regent Sai. The two attempted to escape, but they were apprehended and arrested. Bo is fiercely loyal to Rin and protective of her. He has no issues threatening other team-mates when he believes it is in her best interests, as was seen when he nearly choked Genji to death in order to force him to give her a bronze pearl. He seems to have little interest in interacting with anyone but his wife, but he has grown fond of Solemnity, and he is extremely self-sacrificing when need-be. After offering to be its keeper, he had the Genome Key embedded in his neck with Ash's genetic code inside, although it was later moved to Sabriel. He seems to have little interest or investment in the conspiracy being planned to overthrow the government, beyond keeping his wife and child safe. Bo is neurodivergent and has sensory processing issues, which have caused him some trouble in the gauntlets. In round three, a fight which required him to kill a mannequin that looked like Rin led to sensory overload, which caused his death. He was resurrected with a potion by Team Ten, but he remains the only gauntlet participant to have died and then continued in the games.
