Season 11, Episode 8: "¿Que Sera?" Report

General Summary

The Dream Team and their allies in the Larks danced around each other like lily pads in a tide pool, singing pretty songs and making even prettier promises... Until the hourglass finally shattered, and the sand fell out onto the floor. Crow had arrived in full effect, riding atop the Black Fox with Four Horsemen at their back, and sounded the call that signaled the end of the realms.
The group scattered in every direction, a few with plans to sync back up with the Dream Team as they moved along, but others leaving only with a broad objective and freedom to execute the details as they saw fit. Isra made it her priority to recover the Forge and teleport it into fighting range of Aucturn, rejoining the crew as they fled the Drift on the Aga Jain, with Regulus using the Starstone like a Drift Beacon to take them to a quiet place among the stars.
As the party's agents slowly coalesced around the stronghold of the Cult, it became increasingly clear that while the Dream Team had uncovered great secrets in their conversations, and in some cases augmented their gear and counterdefenses, they had little in the way of a grand plan. But ever resourceful, they began acting off the cuff, creating a field of uncertainty around themselves as they fired off the fruits of their inspiration at random. MaMa summoned Aggy to lead the Wild Hunt, on a journey across the realms to destroy any Anticipations of Crow hidden across the planes, and Flay used the Blessing of the Wolf Queen to guide them. Then Flay tried to tear out her eyes and fill the voids with stars... And succeeded at the first part.
A trip to the Fivefold Cauldron later, the Dream Team lauded themselves with defensive spells and prepared for mayhem, and Regulus shifted them to the border of Aucturn.
Ana Logan reported to all that Skiv had fallen in combat. Mu Draconis discovered that Omega Delta Squad had been taken by Crow. Zelophedad walked through the Sideways Steps, and joined Charon in the shadow of Vulreach.
Panicked by the news, the crew struggled to find the right approach or the next step, and floundered as more reports came pouring in. Lea, Gorgon, and the Owls of Dylath-Leen stood at the top of the rise that led to the Steps, and House Blackblood ichor flowed from their position. Szuriel and Carrot were seen fighting miles away, but he had been corrupted by the Eshtayiv. The Dark Walkers ambushed the Guildmaster, and cut him down in cold blood. Isra stumbled as Denerin died.
The shouting was silenced, the arguments quelled, and the Dream Team at last rose to the tide. They crashed into the side of Aucturn, a mere 300-ft. from the flags of House Blackblood...
And Carsai the King rose to meet them.

Notes

Much lore was discovered. Few plans were made. An unstoppable force struck an immovable object. Hero Lab Online shit the bed. We ended our 3-hour game 40 minutes early. The Liar God howled with rage: "Que sera, sera".
(But we have to give it up to Wax Tailor for the remix, which was what inspired the concept that became Caesura, and for A Woman's Voice, which was my "theme song" for the tragedy of Helen Bronson. That entire album is pretty much peak Infinity Petal fever dream.)
