  The two women in the psipods are awakened and they reveal that the Mind Flayers had the women living in a virtual world, a simulation known as Alterdeep. Extremiton, the Ulitharid has become obsessed with the citizenry of Waterdeep and has been gathering data into a vast dynamo down in The Sea Deeps.   Rizzen finally receives the signal to leave Menzoberranzan from Jarlaxle, a set of teleportation circle coordinates leading to Trollskull Manor .   Methil El-Viddenvelp explains to Slies that Kimmuriel Oblodra is showing signs of impending Ceremorphosis but has been working with Methil to slow down the process. Methil asks Slies to search Undermountain for any potions, enchanted items, spells or artifacts that may prevent the transformation.   Jarlaxle Baenre reveals his plans to convince the citizens of Waterdeep to accept the presence of Drow in their city by saving the city from the mind flayer threat. The Code Legal does allow for criminal or evil organizations to be somewhat legally recognized if the organization's magical adepts defend the city against magical disasters or attacks.   Jarlaxle coerces Drizzt to speak to The Lord's Alliance and the public citizens of Waterdeep on behalf of the Drow Refugees from Ched Nasad. Thorvin Twinbeard and Drizzt head to the surface together. Rizzeryl, Zhent Information Broker agrees to escort Raelyn Auvryndar back to House Auvryndar's outpost upriver from Skullport.
