Anglo-Franco Empire
The Anglo-Franco Empire is the most powerful group of the large competing European power structures in the realm of Earth Baroque. It occupies much of the north west of Europe, from the west coast of Ireland to the borders of Tartaria in the east, and from the southern Baltic coasts to the frontier with Lega Latina, north of Provence and the Pyrenees. It is reaching out into the wider world with ambitions of conquest and mercantile control on other continents. The current ruler of the Empire is King Matthew II as the head of a dynasty with a capital on the island of Jersey.
The naval power of the Ango-Franco Empire is unrivalled on Earth Baroque and this gives it an important edge in seeking to expand and protect its borders. Its armies are battle hardened and nimble, readily adopting new technologies and techniques which emerge from the growing industrial base of an increasingly scientific society.
