Ossanifrean

Ossanifrean is the official language of the Trans-Oceanic Empire, spoken in every port and in the inland cities and towns that fall under its rule.
The language is derived from a mixture of Sea Speak and Beaneese with some occasional adoptions from Noctan. Ossanifrean has replaced Sea Speak to the point where the older tongue can no longer be considered a living language. Beaneese, however, is still widely spoken on Tinturbean in its pure form, particularly in the north where the Congress of Concerned Citizens is strongly represented. Noctan, too, is still a living language in its own right amongst the Owlblood communities of Magicians' End.
