The Monarch: The ruler is named Queen Madelia Schwitt.
She is a powerful ruler who commands respect, though not unearned. She won her throne through a violent civil war with her more experienced father through a number of promises that were very popular with a majority of the kingdom. Queen Madelia Schwitt has since kept a fragile peace, balancing the interests of the nobility with the interests of the people.

The Nobility: Although the word 'nobility' refers to all nobles, the The Great Houses are the nobles with real political influence.

Education

Most people in the Kingdom of Borough cannot afford an education and therefore cannot read or write.

There are 3 major schools: The Crimson Academy that teaches a mix of martial arts, magic, and politics, with a focus on politics; Ironside Academy, that focuses on swordsmanship archery; and Heartseye Academy, that exclusively teaches magic. Once someone graduates from one of these schools, they go on to apprentice with a master in a specialized field. Once their master considers their training complete, the student then gains the title of master.

    Life, Career

    King Tiberius Schwitt, dubbed Tiberius, the Iron fist, inherited the throne. With resentment towards his father's weakness, Tiberius stopped the outbreak of a looming house war between the great houses and stripped away much of the power that his father, Ryzen, had given them. He ruled with an iron fist until madness and paranoia overcame him.
