Loyalists of the EORLDOM OF THE DAWN and the Varandus line. Their manor lies on the southern shores of the The Finger Coast. The family has always had a strong relationship with the HIGH CHURCH. It is currently led by SER GAROL THOLRIN, a widower, who has eschewed remarriage to 'strengthen his faith and committment to the Church.'

The family was once on the rise, in the early years of its ennobling, even raising up a pair of vassal knights under their own banner. The family declined in stature and eventually dominion in the last fifty years of the Throne. From -96 to -73 a succession of poor family leaders and early deaths led to their decline and subsequent loss of wealth and respect. This decline was also due to the departure of their former vassals, the MANTYN line and lands, in -76, to be sworn directly to DAWN as the Eorl's punishment for their weakening. The secondary lineages of THOLRIN, emboldened after the suspicious death of the THOLRIN patriarch in -73, called a SUCCESSION COUNCIL to install new stewards of the family lineage. With new leadership able to stem their decline, THOLRIN has once again become known as respected vassals of the DAWN.
