Known Realms

The World and Known Realms are both terms which make up The Ecumene, an ancient term for the inhabited or habitable civilized world and the guilds, religious administrations, and establishments of the Noble Houses which arose out of the conclusion of the Godswar. What follows are the Major Regions of The Realms as are commonly understood and recognized as existing by all official sources at the beginning of the 5th century of the current era. More information for the individual Regions, Nations, Climates, Economics, Topography and Population are detailed in specific regional guides and more exhaustive information can be found there.  

Afilam

The Kingdoms, City States and Borderlands of The Heartlands.

Andril

The Commonwealth, Lands of the cradle of life at Temonoi-Tempe, now ruled by the returning primogeniture successor of House Kinn after his victory in The War of Succession which separated the old nation of Rhigol into the new Rhigolia and Andrilian kingdoms.

Dannor

The Emperor and the Imperial Senate extend their military force from the coastline to the borders of neighboring lands, theirs is the language is the common tongue.

Ethigoviel

A frontier collection of separate city-states, the strongly idealistic Northmen rally in defence of their lands against all others be they orcs that pour from Maugulakh or raiders from Hauth

Hauth

The northern Jarldoms established by those who followed King Hvall on his great exodus north in search of lands suitable for his House to settle, trade, wonder and plunder from.

Kaendaloth

The regions and shires of the Halflings are well known for their exports of leaf, ale, and spirits.

Lungshi

The proud people of House Hidetomi and House Karita continue to build and defend the lands of their ancestors from Sevaythien Barbarians, descendants of House Baka. Trade over both land and sea continues to spread their goods and traditions throughout the world.

Nydeis

The Island Empire of Magic led by a Magocrocy and its immortal Archwizard continues to influence by colonialism and political maneuvering a dominating presence beyond its shores.

Perracia

Known for The Shield Wall, Dannoran Wars, and as the location of The Final Battle of the Gods, the people of this arid landscape are honorable, if harsh, and respectful of traditions that make them shrewd traders spreading grand tales of an exotic and mysterious land.

Rhelac

Lands of the Rift, home to The Thunderer, patron king of House Rhelac, all is impassable mountains and inhospitable barrens except for the fertile Grand Valley Canyon of The Rift.

Rhigolia

The Borderland Kingdom between Yrdahn and Andril ruled by agreements reached at the end of The War of Succession by the former House Solarii hereditary peer of House Kin.

Yoahan

This chain of Islands frequented by seafarers, traders, privateers, and pirates as a port of call is a nation of Seafaring Costers who’s Guildmaster trades for and with most civilized, and some not so civilized, nations of the world.

Yrdahn

This ethnocentric nation is led by a powerful wizard descendant of House Kin whose actions during The War of Succession forced him into exile along with colonists driven out by both Rhigolia and the Andril who were unable or unwilling to return to Nydeis. Driving the masses of monsters from the land further to the north the Aphotic Hegemon of Yrdahn was born.
