Nydeis

Empire of Magic, Isle of the Arcane.

Next to the lands around Temenoi Tempe and Edin Nydeis is the Oldest and without contest the most prolific Empire of Magic in the mortal world. Lead by a magocrocy who's leader is said to possess immortality and access to magic unknown since the time of the gods. After ruling through colonization, enslavement, and empowerment of its arcane elite for centuries the once mighty empire turned it's sights inward and in its decadence and arrogance has slowly beginning to decline in power and reach.
When the forces of The Commonwealth of Andril rose up against them they were unable to stop them. Many Nydeisians who had never stepped foot on the island proper were forced back across the sea in defeat to return to the Arcane Isle. Those who could not were either forced onwards to the remaining colonies in Dannor or forced to join in the mass exodus to the lands of Lord Venon in his newly won territory of Yrdahn.
With the loss of their richly prized colony of Rhigol the Archmage and his Magi in their island towers appear it is not clear as to what exactly their next move will be. What is clear is that something is brewing from the powerful nation of Nydeis and when that happens the wise hold their collective breath as it usually spells trouble for the rest of the mundane world.
