Akie

Akie is the only daughter of Furuyama no Sadanori, and is his second child with his mistress, Aki. Following the death of her youngest silbing, Ryugoro, she flees her family in search of her estranged half-brother, Ryujiro.

Unable to bear the conflict and strife caused by her cruel elder brother, Ryusaburo, in the year 575, Akie was helped by Fuku in escaping her family. Fuku told her to seek out her sister-in-law, Hana in Sakuchi, rather than Ryujiro who would distrust her. Fuku tells Akie of their secret marriage so that Hana will know that she is trustworthy.
