Publication Status

This is an official public document outlining the four primary navigational directions of the Flying Flux, so it is taught in schools across the world. It goes without saying that most Fluxers are very familiar with its contents.

Legal status

This is widely used and accepted as the navigational guide to Flux. Not even the Parapoptsi will criticize this document despite its intense hatred for the Mage Association who created it. Of course, there were some intelligent Philosophers that contributed as well, but they are not so much controversial as disrespected.

Directional Flux

Organized by the Mage Association

There has long been a need for guidelines that may assist us in mapping this odd world, so we (the Mage Association) have outlined four primary navigational directions.

1. World Positioning: before we may begin, the Flying Flux must be laid flat and viewed from above (looking straight down on the Highlands) to avoid confusion. In this position, Flux should resemble a "C" shape. Turn the world map so its opening is directed towards you (the observer). This is the standard position of our world.
2. Axis: located the center of Flux's curve, it is where the sun is viewed as a line.
3. Panside: everything right of the Axis will be referred to as "Panside".
4. Potside: everything left of the Axis will be referred to as "Potside".
5. Endtips: a name given to either end of the world (i.e. Panside Endtip or Potside Endtip).
6. Awayward: from either Endtip moving towards the Axis is Awayward.
7. Endward: from the Axis moving towards either Endtip is Endward
8. Outround: moving from the Inlands straight across the @Highlands to the Outlands, then from the Outlands across the Lowlands to the Inlands is an Outround movement.
9. Inround: moving in the opposite direction of Outround.
