House Highlander
"The House of my Father and that of my brother Lucien, shall forever rule and protect the Freelands from those who would do it harm in the name of Father"
History
House Highlander was the first House founded by the First King and leader of the Great Revolution that overthrew the Elves and Elvish Empire (Alfheim). There are disputes regarding the name of the Highlander, but many agree rather than a standard Human that he was an Aasimar blessed by the Light of Lady Bellona Albion herself and taught him the secrets of magic and was the first Human to wield it (White Magic). The Highlander King and his descendants went on to teach his eight companions, the rest of humankind, the Beastfolk, and the Dwellers magic as well.
From there, supposedly, he had two sons named Lucien and Adam who were Aasimar as well. Lucien went on to found the Holy Order and write the Codex Stella, thereby defining and naming the Nine Deities of the Freelands. His brother, Adam, went on to inherit his father's kingdom. He and his descendants, for better or for worse, over the course of the next 2000 years ruled the Freelands as the Kingdom of Man (Midgard).
The heraldry and symbol of the House of Kings, House Highlander, is typically a golden dragon with white feathery wings and a crown on its head on a black background. There are eight, and later twelve, stars on this background to represent different Houses beneath them. All Knights and Knightly Orders beneath House Highlander used a dragon of some sort as well.
The last Highlander King, supposedly, was named King Cole Highlander who was supposedly an Aasimar as well. He, his wife Queen Stella Brewster-Highlander, their twelve supposed Aasimar daughters, and the eight Companion Old Blood families were overthrown by the four New Blood families with aid from their Warforged army and the rebranded Holy Order of the Light in the Great Rebellion 2000 years ago. The Great Rebellion supposedly ended the line, and now there's no Highlander left to retake the throne.
The names of the Kings and Queens between the first Highlander and the last ones have been lost to time, as such much of what is "known" is based upon hearsay and legend or what the Holy Order of the Light deems the "truth".
