The Warforged Army
"Men of machine hearts and machine minds, but with souls of Light? Sounds like heresy and witchcraft..."
Structure
The Warforged themselves never ascend into leadership positions within the Army, they are always commanded by a Human within one of the Guilds beneath the Houses of the New Bloods or by the New Bloods themselves. During the Great Rebellion they functioned as standing army with divisions, regiments, and battalions; today they have been divided into different companies to serve as mercenaries and guards that report directly to whatever Human commands them.
Culture
The Humans that command the Warforged range from treating them no differently than Golems, as tools or other such artifices; to treating them as equals as they are as capable of rational thought and emotion as well. When a Warforged is "born" in Central City, whether it was 2000 years ago or the present day, they are born with the knowledge of how to fight and to obey. But other than that they come into this world with curiosity and a mind not unlike that of a child. Depending on where they are sent off to changes how they think, or how they are "raised" in a matter of speaking.
Public Agenda
If the four Houses that make up the face of the New Bloods, the Guilds the bones, gold being the blood, then the Warforged are the muscle. They exist to defend the all the aforementioned parts from all threats, from the time of the Great Rebellion when the brought down the Kingdom of Man to today serving as mercenaries. The last thing you want is the sound of them kicking in your door because you haven't paid your dues to the New Bloods or you were caught stealing from the Guilds's coffers.
Assets
The Warforged keep little to themselves as personal property, for they have no need for sustenance or sleep. What little they own has more practical value, like armor and weaponry. Some more specialized and valuable Warforged may have integrated weaponry into their body in addition to their already integrated tools and armor. The greatest asset to a Warforged is another Warforged, two Warforged may be crafted decades if not centuries apart from one and other yet they treat and love each other as only family could.
History
The purpose of the Warforged Army around 2000 years ago was to bring down the Kingdom of Man by destroying House Highlander and the other Old Blood Houses by tearing them up from the roots and leveling their keeps. It was near impossible goal by all accounts but the tenacity and strength of the Warforged proved otherwise. On one hand you can blame the destruction on the Warforged themselves, but on the other you can blame the New Bloods as the arm that swung the sword or as the finger that pulled trigger on the firearm that is the Warforged themselves. Today they serve as mercenaries and guards used by the New Bloods or loaned out by them to the Guilds beneath.
Disbandment
Though the Warforged Army as a whole has changed over the centuries from an enormous war machine that can topple Kingdoms to a collection of mercenary groups, the army itself can be pulled back together to serve a purpose once more.
Territories
The Warforged hold no territory of their own; they just live at whatever compound, factory, or Guild they serve under the orders of the New Bloods and the Guilds beneath the New Bloods.
Military
At their core, they are the only true military the New Bloods ever had. The New Bloods, unlike the Old Bloods, never held Knightly Orders beneath and thus never held any military might. Though their numbers have waxed and waned over the centuries, the Warforged have remained consistently the only army the New Bloods ever had and probably ever will. The New Bloods have little if any reason to ever hire Adventurers or non-Warforged mercenaries, its cheaper and certainly more efficient to send in their Warforged instead to whatever job needs to be done.
Technological Level
They themselves are the peak of technological progress and magic, they are constructs with souls and capable of human thought and emotion. Furthermore they have access to the best weaponry and equipment artifice has to offer so long as the Guild member has the coin to sponsor it.
Religion
Though they were not born of traditional means, all Warforged are taught the Codex Stella and are receive introductive levels of indoctrination into the Holy Order of the Light. Thus they only recognize and worship the goddess Lady Bellona Albion, but they do not go on to be Templars or participate in hunts for heretics as the New Bloods forbid it. However the Holy Order of the Light is somewhat divided almost on the subject of Warforged; some see them as inhuman abominations to purge, while others see them as children to teach and possibly make into Templars themselves, and even others just see them as tools and a means to an end.
Foreign Relations
They have never engaged in warfare directly with the Elves of Avalon as they were born long after the Great Revolution, they are taught to hunt and hate Elves just as much as the next citizen in the Freelands despite having no reason to. They have no direct ill-will with Dwellers, Beastfolk, or "mutant" Humans either; they have no reason to despite what they've been taught. All they know what to do is follow the orders of the New Bloods and the Guilds.
Agriculture & Industry
The Warforged hold no lands or business so to speak, they are not permitted to do so. They can only ever serve in military or combat related professions in service of the New Bloods or the Guilds under the New Bloods.
Trade & Transport
Warforged are not usually trained in any sort of cavalry or naval positions, they usually are put to a forced march or are shipped like cargo on wagons or ships. In short, they aren't treated usually like people in such circumstances.
Education
All Warforged come into the world knowing how to fight and kill, beyond that they learn through observations of the world or are taught things by older Warforged who have lived longer than them As such they tend to be more insightful beings than what many people give them credit for.
Infrastructure
The Warforged Army doesn't truly have an infrastructure of their own making, they rely 100% on the New Bloods and New Blood affiliated Guilds. Their purpose is to look intimidating and to be intimidating to bandits, monsters, and Guild members who don't pay their taxes.
