The Law Rock
The Law Rock is a rock that has existed in the town certain of Raven's Ford since it's founding. The Law Rock is a place where members of the community to gather to make a pronouncement so that the individual can be seen and heard by the greatest number of people possible. This is usually done during the Festival of Lights when the greatest population can be present.
Despite the name the Law Rock is not just a platform for legal matters but also is a platform for anyone who wishes to be heard by the community. It is a platform for story telling, musical performances, weddings, and religious ceremonies.
Localized Phenomena
From the geological perspective it is simply a large rock, but from the cultural perspective it has been the gathering place for the community for many generations.
History
It is said that Egil the Bold often spoke from the Law Rock when the city of Raven's Ford and the kingdom of Jordsvik were first founded.
