Raven's Ford
Raven's Ford is the port town of the local settlement. It is ruled by the Jarl. It is naturally protected by it's remote location and the bitter cold. The town was founded by Egil the Bold who is a figure of not only history but also myth and legend among the people of Jordsvik.
Government
The city and surrounding hamlet is ruled by the Jarl is the absolute law in the region. The Jarl is supported by the council of ministers and the guard.

The town is surrounded by a wooden palisade.
Industry & Trade
Raven's serves as the central hub for the surrounding country side. Farmers and merchants alike gather in the town center to trade and buy whatever goods they need. The town is primarily a fishing village, but there is also a tannery, a butcher, a blacksmith, a ship wright, and a carpenter.

The village is naturally defended by it's remote location and the Tarin Moutains to the north. The frozen conditions in the region make a land assault nearly impossible leaving the greatest threat being the sea.
