Bu'ran (Boo-RAN)
The Bu'rans are an important family in the civil and military history of Ustraria, Korzhûn in particular near-immediately from the city's founding. During the Almighty Shift period and the coalescing of the country's disparate military forces into what would later become the Itoqir, the position of Chief Warmaster arose as the de-facto military strategist -- a Bu'ran has nearly always occupied the position, both in peacetime and wartime, with nepotism flimsy reasoning compared to their qualifications.
Most recently Xocis Bu'ran served as Chief Warmaster during the War of the Six, even if he was largely regarded as unprepared to inherit the role and leant heavily on the prodigal talents of Devatska Acosaphaura (herself then privately termed the 'Shadow Warmaster').
