Gild Bloodgrove (Guild)

Gild Bloodgrove is a gild majora of the eova Cartel based primarily in southern Unenshuut. Their name is derived from the Bloodgrove, a sizeable area of land rife with bloodgrass, penecta, and xaa -- ordinarily something that would prove a misfortune but one that they turned to their advantage by harvesting xaa cocoons for bloodsilk. They are currently led by Iryck Marrowgleam, and their crest is a circle made from small teardrops encompassing the outline of a tree and its roots (equally balanced), with two solid drops dripping from its branches either side of the trunk and a third dripping from branches in front of its trunk.   Although not one of the oldest gilds, it has recently become the strongest in terms of territory, power, and trade agreements -- despite the fact that gild majora are meant to have equal standing. They are on the cusp of becoming monopolistic. Solitary eova and gild minora that do not bend to its pressures often leave the country or seek the shelter of another gild majora, and even the other gild majora are beginning to avoid Bloodgrove territory.   Currently-Aligned Gild Minora: Brokenbridge, Deepriver, Axestone, Whitewell   The erstwhile Gild Whitewell was one of their geographic neighbors until its destruction by Xa'aroch in 969AC; survivors initially fled to the Bloodgrove but most did not remain there long. Similarly, Gild Bitterway were aligned to the Bloodgrove until their destruction in the Season of Ripening, 987AC (during the War).

Culture

Ruthless pursuit of profit or any other advantage.

History

The War of the Six
Gild Bloodgrove armed much of Keismeb's forces in bloodsilk, not just its channelers -- a truly lavish expense -- but their actual militia contribution was small. Iryck's father passed from the Plague of the Bitter Hand.

"No blood wasted."
