Uginot ec Mlet
Uginot ec Mlet (or sometimes Ugi for short) are a type of modified humanoid found in Tympi's Forest. They have only recently started appearing, and were first seen by the Spiritual Travelers on Nurend 30, 308. The name apparently means "Unknown Soldier" or "Tool of the Unknown".
The first encounter with these creatures was outside of a Mothlight Tree while the Spiritual Travelers were attempting to get back to their Expedition Base. The creatures were seen cutting down the nearby trees and acting as legitimate loggers, though it was eventually revealed that they were sent there to sew discourse and primarily remove the Mothlight Tree. The same journal that revealed this information and their name also hinted that Ilven was heavily involved with the creation of these creatures.
A pair of Myotling refugees also shined some light on the history of these modified commoners. "Some weird looking mortals were brought into Camp, they seemed to be treated like honored guests and were just chatting with their captors about their hobbies or jobs! But they were led into a tent, and while they were still laughing and talking well…the other sounds that escaped were quite shocking. Chanting, cutting, rustling of leaves and …well, the next time we saw those same mortals we knew we needed to get out of there and get back home as soon as possible. Someone has to do something to stop them!" Unbeknownst to the Spiritual Travelers, the description of "chatting with their captors about their hobbies or jobs" is very similar to what the Camp Directors witnessed. Perhaps those unlucky enough to be saved became these creatures. The same refugee also explained that it is possible Ilven is still "in there somewhere" and is doing this as some twisted way to make the outsiders look like the bad guys by destroying the forest.
Their remains were largely destroyed by a beam of light created by their myotling supervisors, but the seeds that were placed inside Hysteria and Frode were salvaged as evidence.
On Nurend 41, 308, the Spiritual Travelers were able to cure two of these creatures with Anvi's help. This member of Tympi's Court was able to channel the light of Tympi's Lantern in such a way as to cure the Uginot ec Mlet.

Basic Information
Anatomy
Each Ugi is about 8ft tall each, limbs look stretched, distorted, and each “section” of a limb looks farther away from a joint than it should be. Example: Forearms and arms seem to be almost a foot away from the elbow, arms seem to be around half a foot or more away from shoulder, so on.
Joints are glowing as well as throats, chests, side of the head. Vines are growing out from these glowing points but aren’t really visible underneath clothing, except for the ones coming from the neck and head. Pink flowers are growing on these vines. The vines are distinct from those seen in or on Vine Beasts, and the seeds are also much larger.
Genetics and Reproduction
These creatures are made from outsiders that have been kidnapped and modified. A Myotling Refugee provided some insight into this process:
“Their limbs were all cut open, hollowed out, we could see that their bones had been broken and placed back inside in …unusual ways. Their chests were also cut open, certain pieces were taken out, organs? More bones? Some were put back in like the ones in their limbs, and more different sized seeds were put inside. Some of them were the size of the removed organs, and some had already started to grow roots and sprout…it looked like these roots were starting to wrap around the bones and organs inside, pulling them in different directions. I don’t know what they’ll be like when they finish growing, but that sight alone confirmed that we needed to distance ourselves from what they have planned.”
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
They do not seem to perceive or sense anything besides what they are told to perceive. When the Spiritual Travelers were in the logging camp, these creatures seemed to ignore them to instead continue logging, likely to keep up appearances.
However, they also have a connection to nearby Myotlings as they immediately became hostile when their myotling supervisors were attacked. When going from logging to attacking, there seemed to be no change in expression or movement at all, it was almost completely unmotivated. Their attention barely shifted as they turned and began sawing Kaswink's arms.
