CC: Session 2: A Prince's Fall Report

General Summary

Watching the morning news, the party viewed a video of the CEO from Scorpio Electrics committing suicide under mysterious circumstances. Before putting a gun to his head, he explained that the corporations, including himself, were responsible for the horrid conditions on The Orion. He seemed coerced, and after completing the act, a shadowy figure stepped forward to turn off the camera. "We will no longer be forgotten"
Working to determine their best course of action, Vox, Carbide, and Boots decided to reconnect with Dak at Gearheads.

On their way to the club, they called Crumbs for another ride. During their journey Boots expressed interest in getting drugs, so Crumbs sent him the contact info for his cousin Acid. Vox prepared research notes on how the chemicals would impact the Human. Crumbs was tipped 16 credits and a quarter of a bagel.

Upon reaching Gearheadss, the trash was being taken out. As the street kids scattered, you smelled the awful fumes of trash suflet. Out of the garbage bin came Mellow, the Ma'Kar street shaman and druid. Seeing an opportunity to gain some new test subject, Vox invited Mellow along to discuss obtaining some specimens. Without anything better to do, Mellow obliged.

Vox began talking with the half-elf bartender, Nemo. While they pried for info on his odd heritage, his did not give in, but upon tipping him he sang a somber thank you song.

Dak was found to be glitching out and Carbide gathered that he had been both infected with a virus and severed from all connections in The Ether. Using his new powers, Carbide removed the virus and stabilized Dak. In doing so, a mysterious all-seeing eye appeared on his hand. Discussing the mess with Tagera Group, Dak told the party about street kids going missing in Ring 6: Plague Borough and someone involved named Poison. Using their knowledge of the area, the party surmised that Netherstand Station was the best place to search.

Dak was then invited to move into the party's apartment, The Blacksite. He agreed to move in and live inside the party's computer.

Heading to a transport nexus, the party was attacked by a group of bounty hunters from Tagera Group. Killing off the three of the four, Mellow charmed the leader with a cloud of smoke. The leader began to tell info on their job, and promptly had the ladder kicked out from under him by Carbide-leading to his death. The voice of Horus then whispered to Carbide about the value of unity.

After landing on Ring 6: Plague Borough, the party purchased some healing syrengies and headed to the Neon Voyeur to meet with Boots' menot Titus Orman. After some discussion regarding an old murder, Titus Orman jacked Boots into a memory chip connected to The Ether (in which Carbide followed). Boots viewed a murder matching the same features as the one with Byrd Fitrei all those years ago. Another young boy was cannabilized by a monsterous looking humanoid. Titus Orman suggested they can learn more by having a trace done on the chip by an old netrunner contact of his at Gamescore Arcade on Ring 5: Transport Nexus. Before they left, Titus Orman made sure that Boots needed to pratice his routines nightly, stay off the drugs/booze, and remain disciplined. He specifically put the responability on Vox.

Mellow and Carbide used their combined knowledge to figure out they could enter into Netherstand Station through High Garden Psych Hospital, a place where Mellow was a former paitent.

High Garden Psych Hospital was found boarded up and with some clever thinking, the group found a way in. Within they faced a pair of Ether Shades, who rather than outright attacking seemed to want to take Boots for an unkown reason. After dispatching of both, they headed into the underground tunnels.

At the end of the tunnel, Vox hacked and openend the gate which revealed a Gurun rave. On the stage, Poison screamed out that they must be after the chip. Leaving her cronies to hold off the party, she fled on a motorcyle. The panic lead to a motorcyle chase through the streets of Ring 6: Plague Borough with the OPD on tail and several innocents dying. After recieving heavy wounds from Carbide on druing a melee motorcyle battle, she used her magic to leap onto a nearby building and try to escape. The party chased her down, and Vox dropped her with a bullet. They received Poison's Data Card. Carbide also tore out Poisons cybernetic augment, the Netrunner's Skull Implant.

With the OPD on their tail, the party returned to The Blacksite and had Dak begin working to decrypt the data - horrfyingly to Vox it appreaded to show traces of Rali's signature.
