CC: Session 4: Tano's Smile Report
General Summary
After successfully breaking into Goopy Springs Wastewater and Sanitation, the party found themselves staring down three reptilian creatures in a trench coat. Despite their best efforts to convince the creatures that they were harmless, they locked the facility's doors and set off an alarm.
Left alone in the building's archive room, the party searched for clues on their growing concerns on The Orion. Boots stumbled upon a redacted report suggesting a link between Tagera Group and the commissioner of the OPD. Mellow flipped through a file detailing concept work on the theoritics for growing a Nerthus Tree on The Orion.
Exploring the door leading to the "garden", Vox was attacked by a toxic fungus and the party chose to head toward the sound of running water.
Reaching the facility's main drain, the party was assaulted by Goopy Springs Wastewater and Sanitation security. With swift action, the security was dispatched. With two guards running back to their patrol room scared, the party took two potions of invulnerability from them and headed on their way.
Heading into the main room of the facility, they discovered the "beep boop box" (as wUHn described it). While trying to reach the device, a monstrous water elemental attacked. Working together to convince the beast they were there to help end the spread of the toxins, they calmed the mighty monster. Unfortunately, the party had a nefarious visitor.
Standing in the observation post, Tano, the CEO of Tagera Group herself flushed the party into the sewers below.
Believing the party to be dead, she headed off to do her interview. An interview Boots watched later that night, in which Tano spoke of coming legistiaon to remove unemployment. She insited that she plans on making unemployment illegal, punishable by work in the factories of Scorpio Electrics. Tano also insisted they would lower the minimum wage to help ensure everyone can find employment. While watching a journalist, Craven, spoke out about the horrific implications. After doing so, 2 suits escorted him away. He hasn't been seen since.
Searching through the trash at the end of the sewers, Mellow found a business card for Danom's Hall of Holograms with the name The Recruiter on the back.
Back at the The Blacksite, Dak talked about his struggled working through the code from Poison. He mentioned hyroglifics, and Carbide attempted to interface with the system. Unfortuantly, Carbide made it through every lock out - but 1, his access was denied.
Vox handed Dak a bunch of blood and hair (collected from kids and kobolds) and asked him to complete to tests from them. Dak agreed to run the programs and see if he could find a lead on what toxin is affecting them and where it might come from.
Waking up their friends, Carbide rushed to Sakura. Upong arrival they found Yo-Dime facing off against customers turned into ghouls. After making quick work of the threat and rescuing the remaining patrons, the party headed to the trap door in the back. Heading down into the gang's secret hide out in Ring 6: Plague Borough they brace themselves for the threats to come.
