CC:S35: The Flight of the Stargazer Report

General Summary

Prologue

As Szaq’red and Mufasa traveled The Hallowed Expanse from Dindiri to The Orion, a rip tore through the astral sky. As she looked on in terror, tentacles stretched into existence, followed by The Neurophage and its Mindflayer captain Knight-Commander Trex.

The Mindflayer wearing the marks of the Knights of the Blighted Blade, quickly grabbed a crew member and devoured their brain. The oncoming damage destroyed Szaq’red's makeshift Spelljammer, sending her flying through The Hallowed Expanse.

The White Cat

On The Orion, the The Agitators reconnected outside The Grand Shanty. As they met some of the crew, Vox and Gene began searching for the fabled white cat. This led to meeting a drunk Tabaxi - Icra by the name of Huggy Heaterson. Gathering back in his room, Huggy explained the strings of Fate to The Agitators.

As if by fate, when Huggy mentioned the need for a navigator Szaq’red flew through the wall and into the room. After introductions, Huggy opened Huggy Heaterson's Mystical Book of Fates. The book told the story of The Golden Horde's Nerthus Tree, they once connected The Hallowed Expanse through the rift-gates and brought peace and Technomancy to the star cluster. Then one of their own Razael, charged with saving Allora with Pathos, Tree of Hope, became corrupted by Hagith and was turned into the first of the Seraph. The war led to The Great Frost that severed the stars. The Golden Horde died out to stop him, leaving nothing but their artifacts.

Years later at the Malae's Dream several adventurers reclaimed the skull of Razael and since then he has been slowly restoring his life force (CC: One Shot: The Tomb of Dreams Report). To return to his full power he sanctioned the Mindflayers of the Knights of the Blighted Blade to search the Expanse for ways to increase his strength. Huggy Heaterson's Mystical Book of Fates explained that The Agitators needed to purify Pathos, Tree of Hope in the ruins of an ancient temple to The Golden Horde if they wanted any hope of stopping Razael.

Following the leads presented in Huggy Heaterson's Mystical Book of Fates, The Agitators took the Stargazer into the astral sea and headed toward Mostea. While breaking to fish, they encountered several Danva traveling on a divine mission, they asked for direction to stop the Knights of the Blighted Blade.

Mostea

Entering Mostea's Wildspace system, The Agitators were greeted by The Apex, a Spelljammer piloted by the Astral Elf Silrine who explained that this space was under the protection of Light of Xordrith. She demanded that Vox fall in line and was immediately hostile. In turn, a battle broke out between the two Spelljammers.

Storming The Apex, The Agitators foundthemselves outmatched as Silrine summoned a Cosmic-Dragon. Quickly returning to the ship, the escaped as Vox used the active sending spell to reply "Get Fucked".

The Agitators docked in the peaceful city of Miport. They quickly met a Loxodon named Vrom. He showed them around their collective and helped Vox and Szaq’red get some local bracelets. A local even agreed to take the Human seeds from their homeworld back to The Orion and start a garden. Gene was also able to get some gifts for Kasula Miayra.

At nightfall, Vrom led The Agitators to the planets crossing into Nothing and Nowhere. As they traveled Dart felt changed and gained the temporary ability to polymorph.

Nothing and Nowhere

Entering into Nothing and Nowhere they were greeted by the image of a Satyr who introduced himself as Fanny McNobsnBits he screamed "They are after my lucky balls" and disappeared into the misty forest.

In search of Verus' magic ball they pressed into a patch of mushrooms that cried for help. They explained that they had a bad problem with crabs down south and offered their favored ring if the party would help. Agreeing they met the giant monster-sized sentient crabs - proceed to convince the friends to kill each other, killed the last one, took their pearls, and returned to the mushrooms. They took their loot and pressed on.

They heard cries for help and discovered Woodstock, The Green Sorcerer stuck in webs. They quickly killed the giant-sized spiders and saved him. Now convinced that they were worthless, he rewarded The Agitators with his Boots of Spider Walking.

Deeper yet, they heard countless small feet stammering. They then looked in horror as 30 tiny-sized triceratops began to charge.
