Gene is a Sun Elf scientist who worked with Rali on the Stargazer. She is obsessed with gene-splicing and fascinated by the sheer discovery of the project. She left her symbol of Akan on the ship and desperately wants it back.
Gene became encased in the web of giant spiders from The Ether while trying to find her lost artifact. After being rescued by Carbide, she gave the AI Construct her heirloom in hopes that he would learn to value of tradition.
As a geneticist, Gene was taken into the employ of Vox, becoming a member of the Stargazer.
During her time working with Vox she met Kasula Miayra, an Eldai princess. The two fell in love and stood together on the day The Agitators The Orion fell from the sky.
