CC:Session30:Tale of the Tree Frog Report

General Summary

Log: 9-2-152

The Agitators met at Steelmire and were greeted by news reports of war breaking out in The Scurvy Yard. The Prophet and Jinx had turned to full out warfare. To make matters worse Hook was under direct attack by Hadescorp. With plenty of requests for help, the party decided it would be best to assist Hook.

Stepping into Recycler's Row, they discovered a young Ma'Kar being chased by three men. They stopped the pursuits and explained they worked for FLKYR and were apprehending a thief. Vox vouched for the child and offered to return everything to FLKYR, before scaring off the guards. The young fragment revealed they were an orphan from Nourish and Flourish Orphanage named Ice. Vox adopted the fragment and sent them with Gary the Grik back to the Stargazer.

They discovered The Boons abandoned and began looking for clues. They determined that the people had rushed to Hook's Crucible to reinforce from Kuro's attack. Boots also discovered the journal of a young man named William Keisler who described worry over his siblings and that Kuro was planning on leaving the city.

Upon reaching Hook's Crucible, The Agitators saw a mostly destroyed citadel being attacked by a massive Green Cosmic-Dragon. Hook sat atop a machine gun fighting back the beast and they heard the cries of a young man under massive rubble. Dart summoned toad ancestor spirits and saved the boy, whose legs had become crippled by the destruction. When he later introduced himself as William Keisler, Dart messed with him a bit before revealing that his brother is still alive.

Heading into the basement of Hook's Crucible, they found a store room with an unbreakable lock. A mysterious book held a puzzle and when Vox said the magic word, a key appeared in their nose. They opened the door and headed into the tunnels below. Inside the tunnel, they noticed someone moving around. Decided to shoot first and ask questions later, they killed the Human. Looting their corpse, they found a letter from Jinx detailing orders to sabotage their rival, Hook.

Arriving on the other side, they found themselves in the lobby of Tano's Remembrance , which had previously become an outpost for Injurious Inc.. Hacking into the computer, they discovered emails between Kuro and The Emissary stating that The Orion should not be destroyed too hastily, as The Emissary plans to use it as a weapon. They also discovered a standing appointment with The Pathfinder.

Entering the building's elevator, they headed up to the top floor - but they were stopped by a corpse falling above them. Upon inspection, the discovered it to be a member of The Raven's Eye and wearing Vestments of Raven's Assassins.

Reaching the top floor, they found a hallway filled with foilage and triggered the trap, before pushing into the main room and dispatching with Kuro's concubines. Defending the dragon's hoard, a concubine pressed an alarm which alerted Kuro back to his hoard.

A battle ensued as the mighty dragon saught to capture The Agitators alive and torture them for what they did to his daughter, Tano. With the help of explosives, quick moving, and a lot of science infused bullets - they killed Kuro and left Tano's Remembrance in ashes.

They then looted everything of value from the dead dragon and headed on their merry way.

Later Dart took over the collapsed Hadescorp and rebranded it Bromeliad.
